A fish preservation demonstration was conducted in Bor, South Sudan, to enhance post-harvest handling and reduce fish spoilage. Participants learned practical preservation techniques, including proper cleaning, drying, smoking, and hygienic storage practices, helping to improve food security, increase the shelf life of fish, and create better income-generating opportunities for fishing communities.

ROCE participated in a community food security assessment in Akilo Payam under the UN-FAO FSL programme. The assessment gathered data on crop production, market access, and household vulnerability.

Findings will guide future seed security, livelihoods, and emergency preparedness interventions in GPAA.

ROCE joined RSRTF partners under the UNMPTF for a coordinated livestock vaccination exercise in Jonglei State. The campaign reached pastoral communities whose herds are essential to household nutrition and income.

Multi-agency coordination strengthened coverage and ensured vaccines reached remote grazing areas.

In partnership with local animal health workers, ROCE supported a livestock vaccination campaign in Pibor Manyiran village. Goats, sheep, and cattle were vaccinated to protect community assets and food security.

Protecting livestock is critical for pastoral households whose animals are their primary source of wealth and nutrition.

A structured registration process was conducted ahead of seed distributions in Bor Block 8. ROCE staff worked with community leaders to verify beneficiary lists and ensure seeds reached the households most in need.

Accurate registration helps prevent duplication and strengthens accountability to donors and partners.
